Piperoof

Overview of the method

Conventionally, boring and auger methods were used to form Piperoof, but there were limitations in the driving distance and the soil quality that could be excavated. Iseki Kaihatsu Koki has made it possible to construct large-scale pipe roofs by utilizing the long-distance driving and difficult ground construction of the Ankle Mole and Ankle Mole Super methods, which are mud water driving methods with a long track record in laying sewer pipes. In addition, by using a tunneling machine that can freely travel back and forth within the pipe, construction is possible in sites where a reach shaft cannot be constructed or where obstacles exist.
The Unclemole Piperoof, which has accumulated a track record as a pioneer of long-distance pipe roofing methods, continues to develop as a technology for more reliable underground space formation, from low soil cover to great depths. In the future, we will contribute to the construction of underground spaces using the pipe roofing method by making full use of twin tunneling machines, curved pipe roof construction, and rectangular tunneling machines.

Features of Unclemole Piperoof

①Able to handle changes in soil quality over long distances and large cross sections
Adopting a tunneling machine that can handle all soil types allows it to adapt to changes in soil type over long distances and large cross sections
②No need for a vertical shaft. Can handle obstacles.
The tunneling machine can travel freely within the pipe, making it unnecessary to use a vertical shaft for reaching the pipe.
③Suitable for construction on large soil covers
Excellent face stabilization mechanism and water-stopping ability enable construction under high water pressure
④Stable precision construction
Stable construction accuracy by always keeping the center of the tunneling machine tip on the planned line
⑤Curved construction is possible
With its excellent directional control mechanism and surveying technology, it is possible to carry out curved construction along the route.
